The All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) was established in the year 1930. It is a registered society under the society’s registration act of 1860. Membership of the society has continuously grown over the years and currently it has over 28,500 life members. The society is dedicated to fostering the advancement of ophthalmic sciences, research, and the development of skilled professionals. Our primary goal is to serve communities by promoting the study and practice of ophthalmology while fostering social connections among ophthalmologists nationwide.
AIOS serves as a hub for ophthalmic professionals and industry partners, offering a platform to share expertise and experiences. We advance the science and art of ophthalmology by organizing various training programs, educational initiatives, online resources, and publishing the esteemed Indian Journal of Ophthalmology. Our aim is to eradicate preventable blindness through education, research, and clinical services regionally and globally.
