Uttarakhand State Ophthalmological Society (UKSOS) was formed in the year 2004, with a view to promote study & practice of Ophthalmic science.

UKSOS has been organizing Annual Conference in various cities of Uttarakhand with an agenda to study the progress of the society and carve out an action plan to achieve the pre-determined objectives. They are very well attended. People from all over the country come to attend because of the high scientific content and the great hospitality & beautiful picturesque venues.

We are over 450 members at present and are hoping to cross the 500 bar this year.

UKSOS in recent years has earned a pan India reputation. It is dedicated to serve the community and committed to support various community service initiatives across Uttarakhand.

Owing to collective efforts of the UKSOS Team, well attended annual conferences and meetings are organized successfully, each year. The high standards set by Uttara Eyecon have made it an important landmark on the academic calendar of the country drawing leading luminaries from all over India besides delegates from all adjoining states as well.
